Thunderstorm warning

The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of heavy rainfall – up to 100mm – and afternoon thunderstorms over the next few days.
The threatening weather has led to NSW SES encouraging community members to be prepared.
In the last weather event in February, NSW SES volunteers were called to nearly 400 jobs across the state.
Having a plan can save your life, the life of your family members and the lives of others, including your pets. It can also minimise damage to your property and possessions.
To reduce risk of danger or damage, it is important to have a home emergency plan and an emergency kit.
Tips include:
• Maintain your yard and balcony;
• Clean your gutters, downpipes and drains regularly to prevent blockages;
• Trim trees and branches that could potentially fall on your home or property;
• Fix any damage to your roof; and
• Check your insurance policy is current and adequate.
If you are caught in a weather event, bring your pets indoors with their food and water.
Check the NSW SES website for weather warnings.
