Threaten pair with gun, bat

A MAN was shot during a brazen home invasion in Chester Hill last Thursday afternoon.

About 4.40pm, five men forced entry to the home in Esme Avenue and threatened the occupants with several weapons, including a baseball bat and a firearm.
One of the men hit a 46-year-old woman with the bat, before another man discharged the firearm which wounded a 48-year-old man.
The group left the scene in two dark-coloured sedans.
The man was treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries, however he did not require hospital treatment.
The woman also did not require further treatment.
A number of children were home at the time of the incident but were not injured.
