The festival featured fun activities for all the family, free children’s rides, entertainment, delicious multicultural food stalls, handcrafted ornaments, henna tattooing and entertainment from local African musicians.
Canterbury Bankstown Councillor and Riverwood Community Centre’s spokesman Karl Saleh (pictured left with musicians) said it was “a fantastic opportunity for our community to get together and catch up with local friends and family”.
He thanked the centre’s staff, volunteers and sponsors including the NSW Department of Justice, City of Canterbury Bankstown Council, Multicultural NSW, Humanity Matters and St George Community Housing, “which ensured the success of the event”.
