Thousands enjoy Ramadan Street Festival

THOUSANDS of people (pictured) have flocked to Auburn to enjoy the Ramadan Street Food Festival.

Cumberland Mayor Lisa Lake said Auburn was one of the most multicultural communities in Australia, and the Ramadan Street Festival showcased its great diversity with thousands of people attending the event.
“It was a great success and it was lovely to see so many people from different backgrounds come together in unity to share in the spirit of harmony and embrace our common humanity,” Mayor Lake said.
“This annual event provided an authentic outdoor experience within Auburn’s main street and offered residents and visitors the opportunity to connect, socialise and experience the magic of Ramadan.”
