Ahmad, 39, was shot dead in a hail of bullets in Narelle Crescent on Wednesday, April 27, about 9.30pm and despite the efforts of police and paramedics, died at the scene.
Strike Force Betta investigators arrested a 26-year-old man during a vehicle stop at Campsie yesterday afternoon and charged him with murder and participating in a criminal group contributing to criminal activity.
Police will allege the murder was meticulously planned and that the 26-year-old was directly involved in its planning and coordination.
A home in Campsie was also searched by police who seized a number of items for further forensic examination.
Two men aged 37 and 49 have been charged over their alleged involvement in the murder and remain before the courts.

Third man charged over murder
A THIRD man has been charged over his alleged role in the murder of Mahmoud ‘Brownie’ Ahmad in Greenacre earlier this year.
