With Covid-19 forcing thousands of locals out of work, Padstow’s NA Group is offering several full-time and casual positions.
NA Group Pty Ltd is a privately owned road and civil maintenance company in Padstow with more than 20 years’ experience and employs over 60 full time staff.
Positions available include casual traffic controllers, experienced asphalt, concrete and spray seal personnel, apprenticeships and traineeships for those wanting to learn the industry.
A spokesperson for NA Group says it has also implemented extensive health and safety measures to reduce the risk of exposure to its employees and the public, as well as to ensure continuity of service for its clients.
“We have held several meetings with all employees regarding social distancing laws, provided every employee with sanitiser and split the office staff into two distinct teams to create space and reduce contact,” he said.
“One example of a good news story is our new full-time cleaner, a lady that was employed in the wedding industry and found herself without work and income. We have employed her to constantly sanitise the offices and roading equipment, to give ourselves the best chance of avoiding infection.”
