Emergency services were called to the vicinity of William Street, Blacktown, following reports of a brawl on Wednesday, September 1, about 10pm, and found seven people suffering stab wounds.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, including police who performed CPR, a 17-year-old boy died at the scene.
Three teenage boys – two aged 13 and one aged 15 – were taken to hospital, two in critical condition and one in a serious condition, while two 17-year-old boys and a 20-year-old man were taken to hospital for treatment.
All six have since been released from hospital.
Police established a crime scene and allegedly located several items at the scene, including a ‘Zombie’ knife, machete, kitchen knives and golf clubs, which were seized for forensic examination.
So far during the investigation, four people – three 17-year-old boys and a 20-year-old man – remain before the courts.
Following extensive inquiries and a number of public appeals, detectives executed four simultaneous search warrants early last Tuesday morning at homes at Liverpool, Bankstown, Parramatta and Lugarno, arresting an 18-year-old man and two 17-year-old boys.
A 21-year-old man was also arrested at a Bankstown unit and a number of items were allegedly seized including cash and a mobile phone.
The two teens and two men were each charged with murder, cause wounding/grievous bodily harm to person with intent to murder (x2), assault person intend criminal activity of criminal group (x3).
