About 4pm (Tuesday, April 27), emergency services responding to reports of a brawl at Merrylands Railway Station found a teenage girl with a stab wound to the arm.
The girl, aged 15, was treated by paramedics at the scene before being taken to the hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established and examined by specialist forensic police.
Three teenage girls – one aged 14 and two aged 16 – were arrested at the scene and taken to Fairfield and Auburn Police Stations, where they were later released.
Following inquiries, another further 16-year-old girl was arrested at a home in Hoxton Park about 11.30pm.
She was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and larceny.
