Teen hurt after crashing stolen car in police flee

A TEENAGER was injured when he allegedly crashed a stolen car into the back of a truck while being pursued by police.

Shortly before 6.40am last Saturday, Highway Patrol officers attempted to stop a stolen grey Mazda 3 on the M4 motorway, near Homebush.
When it failed to stop as directed, a pursuit was initiated, but was terminated a short time late due to excessive speed.
The vehicle came to a stop a short time later after the vehicle crashed into the rear of a truck, near the Church Street on-ramp.
The 17-year-old received minor injuries while the other driver was uninjured.
Investigations are continuing.
