Teen, 19, charged over road rage
Last Friday about 1.50pm, a B-Double semi-trailer was travelling along the Hume Highway at Chullora, when a Mazda 3 allegedly accelerated to block the vehicle from changing lanes.
The male driver and passenger of the Mazda stopped a short distance later and allegedly approached the 38-year-old male driver of the B-Double. Following a verbal altercation, a hammer was allegedly used to smash the front and drivers-side windows of the B-Double, before the occupants of the Mazda left the scene.
The driver of the B-Double sustained minor injuries.
Later that day, a 19-year-old Yagoona man was arrested and charged with armed with intent to commit indictable offence, stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm, destroy or damage property, drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, not keep left of median strip-motor vehicle, driver not disclose identity of driver/passenger as required and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
Investigations into the incident are continuing and police are appealing for anyone with information, or who may have dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.

Fleeing man had drugs and cash
A WILEY Park man was charged with drug supply and possessing ammunition after allegedly being detected at a screening point at Sydney’s Domestic Terminal.
Last Sunday about 1.45pm, police received reports that a 25-year-old man who was attempting to travel from Sydney to Melbourne, was in breach of court-imposed bail restrictions.
During a search of the man’s luggage, police allegedly located a quantity of ammunition, a small plastic bag containing cocaine, a bottle containing the drug GBL and a quantity of cash which police believe were the proceeds of crime.
The man was charged with possess ammunition without holding a licence, acquire ammunition subject to a Prohibition Order, supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, deal with property proceeds of crime, and breach of bail.
