Teddy Bear’s Picnic to aid sick

IT isn’t exactly the woods but if you go down to Dooleys Lidcombe Catholic Club, there will be plenty of bears out and about this Sunday, March 8.

Dooleys will be hosting a Teddy Bear’s Picnic from 11am to 1pm, and marketing and community relations manager Julie Milsom says there will be a special children’s show, singing, dancing and games, with the money raised from $10 booking donations going to the annual Bandaged Bear Appeal.
“The Teddy Bear’s Picnic is a fun way for the whole family to support sick kids in need at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead,” she said.
“There will be games, singing and food for everyone to enjoy, as well as a visit from Bandaged Bear himself.”
Since 1989, the annual Bandaged Bear Appeal has been raising vital funds for sick children, all with the aim of getting them back home to their normal lives as soon as possible.
You can also show your support this month by buying Bandaged Bear merchandise or enjoying a $6.50 members coffee and cake special at either Dooleys Lidcombe or Waterview, with $1 from every purchase donated to the Appeal.
Teddy Bear’s Picnic tickets are a $10 donation per booking, with child receiving lunch and a party bag; call 8745 6100 or visit member services at the Club.
