Dining Out

Tasty, top value meals thrill shoppers

GONE are the days when food courts were found in one little corner of a centre.

Now, the food court is part of the centre’s pride and joy and so it is at Roselands Shopping Centre which offers a fantastic range of snacks and meals created fresh from scratch to order.
The 12 food outlets on level two comprise a mix of popular eateries and loved national chains.
Jenny from Jimmy’s Kitchen, says her team keep their menu offering simple and according to shoppers’ needs.
“Our lunchbox, costing $10.80-$12.50, features a choice of rice or noodles and a choice of chicken, beef, pork or prawn; these are very popular,” she said.
If you’d like a serve of salad or delicious wrap or burger to go with your spot of retail therapy, head to Le Wrap or Burgers & Co managed by husband and wife team Kamal and Abir Kanj.
“Everything you crave to eat is here,” Kamal said.
“If you like tasty, fresh food that’s cooked right in front of you, visit us and you can even make up your own wrap with whatever ingredients take your fancy.”
Sahara Grill’s Mustaqueem Ansari agrees.
“Shoppers love our fresh Turkish gozleme and pides,” he said.
“We’ve also got halal snackpacks with meat, chips and sauce and donner and chicken mixed plates along with our famous kebabs plus more.”
Katrina and Andrew have been operating Neptune’s Seafood Grill for three years and feel very much at home in the community.
“We do a roaring trade on our calamari as well as our $8.50 battered fish and chip deal or grilled fish, chips and salad for $12,” Katrina said.
Other outlets on level two include: Gloria Jeans, Donut King, Roast and Spuds, Eggette Waffles, Subway, Sushi Sapporo and Oporto.
Centre manager Craig Brown said: “We’re fortunate to have a diverse community at Roselands and our dining precinct reflects that with cuisine from around the world.
“In the past couple of years we’ve made a significant investment to redevelop our fresh food and dining precincts and the feedback from the community has been great,” he said.
“With consumer confidence returning following restrictions, we are enjoying seeing more and more smiling faces each week.”
