The tank is set for a makeover and will be painted in white camo and used as a wedding vehicle and for special events.
Queen Street Customs’ Mohammed Ibrahim says they get lots of enquiries for custom vehicles for weddings, anniversaries and special events and the tank would be a very popular addition to their fleet.
He says a lot of its weight will have to be removed and it will need rubber tracks and a few other modifications – then hopefully they can get conditional registration. The work is expected to take a few months.
It was parked on the side of the road until the flat battery could be replaced and moved to its new home in Queen Street.
