Take trip to 1970s

CANTERBURY Hurlstone Park RSL invites you back to the 1970s – a time when cats were in the cradle, they filled up your senses, country roads took you home and the good old boys were drinking whiskey and rye.

The 70s Love Country show will see award-winning entertainers Stephen Fisher-King, Chris Connolly, Jo Elms and their groovy band perform some of the best-loved music of bands like America, The Eagles, Bread, Neil Young, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac and Carole King.
Stephen is a beautiful baritone, with a taste of tenor. As Australian Club Entertainer of the Year and holder of many ‘Male Vocalist of the Year’ awards, Stephen is one of Australia’s leading live performers.
Chris is an internationally renowned performing artist and one of Australia’s most awarded, versatile and respected performers, taking you on a musical journey covering all genres during every performance.
Jo is a singer, songwriter whose dynamic acoustic style blends together her love of jazz and soul music with her Celtic heritage.
She’s won awards for her original compositions in the 25th Australian National Songwriting Contest and the Musicoz awards.
This exciting show is supported by authentic, historic video footage which will transport you back to a time when you were probably still searching for a heart of gold.
Take a fantastic walk down memory lane featuring all the greatest guitar-hits of the decade, with the band guaranteeing to bring back fond memories, make you laugh, and sing along.
