Take mum for a laugh

OFFERING a Mother’s Day treat with a difference, Theatresports All-Stars is returning with the cream of the crop including Belmore actor John Knowles and promising a laugh a minute for mums of all ages.

You’ll see comedy scenes, stories and songs all made up on the spot, with the ridiculous scenarios you love from Theatresports and Whose Line Is It Anyway?
John says he is looking forward to hamming it up with all the legends as well as some up and coming young talents.
“Over 120 schools are now involved in our Theatresports School Program including my son Charlie, a student at Kingsgrove North High School,” John said.
“Some of the young performers want to hone their skills and Theatresports offers the perfect platform.”
John says the family show is ideal for children as well as older mums.
“I can guarantee there will be lots of laughs; it’s clever but not rude,” he said.
“You’ll find yourself going home and recounting the scenes to your friends.
“There are always lots of surprises as no one knows what’s coming next; that’s the beauty of Theatresports and why it’s been running since 1985.”
Headlining the Sydney Comedy Festival, Theatresports All-Stars is on offer at Enmore Theatre on Sunday, May 9, from 4.30pm. Tickets: $25-$65. Family passes available. Bookings: ticketek.com.au or 9550 3666.
