Sydney Olympic Park future say urged

A GIANT playground, a sports mecca, a movie production house and an entertainment precinct are some of the many suggestions being offered for consideration for the future development of Sydney Olympic Park.

The future of the park is up for discussion with the public invited to have their say on a vision to guide the development of its Master Plan 2050 and future developments.
Hundreds of people have already been asked in one-on-one interviews, round tables and focus groups, to imagine what Sydney Olympic Park might look like in 30 years’ time and now it’s time for you to put forward your suggestion.
Chief Executive of NSW Placemaking, Anita Mitchell, said that at 10 times the size of Disneyland, there’s much to imagine at Sydney Olympic Park and the feedback had been incredible and interesting.
“And it’s no wonder, with residents, businesses, sporting groups, picnickers and concert goers all currently enjoying Sydney Olympic Park,” she said.
“We encourage the community to be a part of developing a vision for Sydney Olympic Park, one that unlocks the true identity of this special place.
“It will also inspire and drive other important outcomes for Sydney Olympic Park today, tomorrow and beyond 2050.”
