THOUSANDS converged on the Auburn Botanic Gardens on Saturday to enjoy the first day of the spectacular Sydney Cherry Blossom Festival which is on offer for nine days until this Sunday, August 28. With crowd favourite ‘Hello Kitty’ delighting young and old, the iconic family-friendly event pays homage to Japan’s traditions, music, pop culture and food – all against the backdrop of cherry blossoms bursting into colour.
