Sweet surprise for our workers on the frontline

ROTARY is celebrating 100 years in Australia this year and Campsie Rotarians took the opportunity to say “thank you” to some special people who serve our community every day – also acknowledging their amazing work through the pandemic – with some special treats.

Led by President Lyn Bruderlin, Campsie Rotarians dropped into Canterbury Hospital (pictured) and presented lamingtons and coffee vouchers to Dr Mata Malkeiwicz and operational nurse manager Sue Daly for staff to enjoy, before heading to Campsie Police Station for a similar presentation to Acting Inspector Craig Partridge and his fellow officers. A spokesperson said the “lamington surprise” was a thank you to some special people who are in the forefront of helping the community, which they serve every day.
“It was a great way to share the Rotary spirit of ‘Service Above Self’,” she said.
