PRINCIPAL of Auburn North Public School Mark Harris was caught by surprise with a celebration recognising his 20 years of service.
Former student and now a classroom teacher at the school, Hadia Rahimy was among those paying tribute to the dedicated educator and said his efforts had been life-changing for many students.
“My friends are engineers, doctors, nurses and teachers,” she said.
Schools as Community Centres and Harmony House coordinator Christine Daujotis also described him as an extraordinary leader who was hands-on and didn’t sit behind a desk all day.
