Support to live best life

SHOWCASING high value opportunities for people with disabilities to live their best lives and plan for the future, the free South West Disability Expo will bring together an extensive range of products and services under one roof later this month.

Also ideal for carers, friends and families of those with disabilities, the Expo will feature a vast array of support organisations such as government, advocacy groups, aids and equipment providers, financial and legal services, education, training and employment providers, social and leisure options, transport, health and medical products and services, allied health professionals and support services, including in-home care providers.
With over four million Australians having a disability, the Expo will also offer a range of informative and interactive presentations delivered by industry experts, all-abilities adult and children’s entertainment, and food vendors.
Created to link thousands of people with a disability with hundreds of product and service providers as well as presenting a range of informative and interactive presentations delivered by industry experts, the Expo will also include NDIS representatives to answer questions and provide advice, mental health organisations, modified vehicles to sample and representatives from Cerebral Palsy Australia, Family Planning Australia and the Australian Financial Complaints Authority.
The Expo will be held at Whitlam Leisure Centre, Liverpool, which is easily reached by private car or public transport.
“The expo provides valuable information and connections to enhance accessibility and inclusion in everyday life,” a spokesperson said.
“It’s a welcoming space where individuals can learn, connect, and empower themselves for a brighter future,” she said,.
For visitors driving to the Expo, there is free mobility parking available within the venues parking grounds, with entry from Memorial Ave.
South West Community Transport will be providing a wheelchair friendly Shuttle Bus which will be leaving every 30 mins from Liverpool Station to the venue.
Alternatively, Bus Route 802 or 803 from Liverpool Station to Miller Street runs past the centre via Stand 2170484 every 30 minutes. Visit Transport NSW to plan your trip.
