Superstars wrestle in for night of family fun

ALONG with Lee Morrow, known as The Great Australian Hero, doing battle with PWA champion Ricky South for the NSW Heavyweight Wrestling title, Australian Wrestling Superstars (AWS) has an exciting line-up for families this Friday night at Bankstown PCYC.

The event – AWS: For The Boys – will also feature Aussie wrestling legends Apollo, Tyson Gibbs, Bee Boy, Goran Uriel Nikolov, Birdman Phil Picasso, The Moment, Robbie Zucco and more.
Zucco has accepted the challenge set forth by The Moment, but which member will compete against The Original Greaser?
AWS founder Debra Holloway says there’s nothing as much fun as a night of wrestling spills and thrills.
“I got hooked as a 10-year-old when my brother used to take me,” she said.
“Our wrestling shows offer something different as there’s always a story line, from show to show, and attendees leave feeling happy but also intrigued as to what is going to happen next.”
With hot food and refreshments available during the night, AWS will return after this Friday night’s event, November 26, from 7pm, to Bankstown PCYC on Saturdays, December 17 and January 21.
“To celebrate our second anniversary last February, we combined a show with a fundraiser for RSPCA and were able to donate a cheque to them for $5,000,” Debra said.
“We’re presently seeking a new charity partner for our February 2023 show, so feel free to get in touch.”
Show tickets: Family of four, $50; Adults, $20; children, $10 (free child entry for the December and January shows) at eventbrite.com.au.
AWS is also opening a wrestling school catering for all levels in the new year, costing just $30 a week, with the first 14 people to join saving $199 on the annual fee.
