Sunflower aiding hidden disability

IF you have a hidden disability, your may benefit from wearing a Sunflower lanyard (pictured) which discreetly indicates to transport staff, health professionals and others that you may need additional time, support and understanding.

Ideal not only for those with a learning disability, but also if suffering from anxiety, chronic pain, dementia, autism spectrum disorders and many other conditions.
“Anyone who feels they would benefit from using the Sunflower lanyard is welcome to do so,” a Transport for NSW spokesperson said.
“It’s a small step but has a big impact, helping people get support navigating around stations, during disruptions or even finding a quiet space when needed.”
Pick up one for free from the station office at a city circle (Town Hall, Wynyard or Central) station or order one online: hdsunflower.com/au/
