Designed to provide students with flexible study options, PCT Diploma and Advanced Diploma courses are affordable and open up pathways to further study at university or to employment.
PCT Director Pradip Dhakal, who was named Business Person of the Year in the Cumberland Local Business Awards in 2018, said there were more than 400 international students studying at the college who come from over 30 different countries, though the number enrolled was more than 600 prior to Covid. He believes that their location can be attributed to much of their success.
“Auburn is the centre of Sydney,” he said.
“It’s got great transport options and all the amenities you need.
“That’s why so many overseas students and migrants are keen to settle here, even my staff prefer to live here.”
Happy that overseas students are returning after Covid, Pradip says most students who become qualified choose to stay in Auburn and build their lives here.
“We have been delivering professional courses in accounting, business, management, marketing, human resources and information technology for nearly 20 years and have recently added an automotive course for budding mechanics,” he said.
“We have many success stories.”
