Students raise over $2,500 to help sick

RAISING over $2,500, Greenacre Public School Student Parliament hosted its first fundraiser for the year in support of The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

Bandaged Bear Day raises awareness of the Children’s Hospital and with support can make a huge difference in the lives of sick kids.
Treating 70,000 patients every year, The Children’s Hospital at Westmead relies on community generosity to raise essential funds for purchasing the most technologically advanced medical equipment, conducting vital research and maintaining the total healing environment for which the hospital is renowned.
Wearing their pyjamas to school to show empathy with the sick, the students took part in fun activities and each donated a gold coin as well as purchasing merchandise on the day to help raise the funds.
