Students have ‘thriving’ year start

HELPING to develop confident learners, Picnic Point High School has ensured Year 7 students have had a ‘thriving’ start to high school for 2021.

iThrive is Picnic Point High School’s bespoke integrated curriculum where Year 7 students experience project-based learning in a flexible and future-focused learning space.
“We know students are more likely to thrive when they are connected to their school and their learning through a relevant and engaging curriculum that provides them with voice and choice,” Picnic Point High School Principal Sharon Byron said.
“Our iThrive curriculum supports students to become confident, curious lifelong learners and global citizens.
“Most importantly, they connect with themselves as learners and develop skills in collaboration, critical thinking and creativity while solving real world problems.”
Putting their talents and skills to good use, Year 7 iThrive students are excited to soon be exploring the question, ‘How can we turn empty space into a vibrant community park?’ through collaboratively developing proposals to improve Edwards Park in Panania.
