Students going a little crazy just for fun during lockdown class at home

LIFE in lockdown is tough on everyone but there has been a silver lining for Bankstown North Public School students who are thriving thanks to the round the clock attention from their parents as well as their teachers.

Principal Jon Godwin has ensured every child has been provided with a device, even those in Kindergarten, and teachers have been working around the clock to make sure it all happens and that no one is left behind.
“We seem to have remote learning down pat and the technology certainly helps as it is so engaging,” he said.
“We have also introduced weekly themes with Crazy Hair Days last week, Hats this week and Zootopia the week after where students have to dress up as animals.
“The children love it as it gives them something to look forward to and a lot of the parents and teachers have also been taking part which makes it even more fun.
“Everything seems to be working very well, especially this second time around, with all students benefitting from the one-to-one assistance.
“It comes down to the great parent community and my wonderful staff.
“I am very lucky as I couldn’t have asked for a better, more committed and positive group of teachers and administration workers.”
