School captain’s a force for good
Sarah was one of 25 students to receive a Certificate of Commendation and a trophy at Government House on Friday.
Conducted by the Order of Australia Association (NSW) Branch, students from across the State were nominated by their school principals as being exemplary community role models. Nominees were assessed by a selection panel to determine the final Award recipients.
Sarah’s citation read: “Sarah is School Captain at Birrong Girls High School and has volunteered her time and skills to support others facing challenges in the school and throughout the broader community by showing how simple contributions and sacrifices can change lives.
