Step Into the Woods for evening of magic

FAMILIES are invited to step ‘Into the Woods’ for some magical nights in early November when the theatrical show of the same name debuts at Bryan Brown Theatre.

Described as brilliantly original, dark, funny, absorbing and utterly entertaining, it begins, of course, with “Once upon a time…” and by the end of the opening number, not one but multiple fairytale plots have intertwined as Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood and Jack of beanstalk fame all head into the woods in search of love, happiness and wisdom.
Their stories are all tied together by the classic tale involving a baker and his wife, their wish to begin a family and their interaction with the witch who has cursed them.
On offer from November 3-12, Revesby’s Bronte Tonks who plays main character Cinderella, says the story and music offer something for everyone.
“It’s not your standard musical,” Bronte said.
“There are so many amazing harmonies and there certainly is no better musical which showcases local talent.
“Everyone who sees it, will love it; it’s very funny and entertaining with lots of life lessons for the young and old.”
Tickets: $45-55, at bankstowntheatrecompany.com or 0481 869 858.
