Staffer arrest over inmate affair

A CORRECTIONAL officer was arrested at Bass Hill and charged over an alleged inappropriate relationship with an inmate at a private facility in Sydney’s north-west.

Last week, detectives from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit commenced an investigation following a referral from a correctional facility in Sydney’s north-west, over an alleged inappropriate relationship between a female correctional officer and male inmate.
Following inquiries, officers arrested a 33-year-old woman at a home at Bass Hill last Friday.
The Miller woman was charged with engaging in a relationship with inmate etc causing safety etc risk.
The woman’s employment has been suspended.
