Club Vice President Andrew Sheehy said that after a wonderful season both on and off the field, it was great to reconnect with their cricket family to celebrate the season.
“It was also great for our club to be able to show our appreciation for the ongoing support we receive from our major sponsors First National Daystar and Panania Diggers as well as our team sponsor Pod by Peter in Padstow,” he said.
Standout performances for the club, came from Senior Player of the Year, Pat Forrester and Junior Player of the Year, Kostas Saisanas.
“Both players have been in our junior systems for many years and the club as a whole was thrilled to see these two young men live up to their potential and put together great seasons,” Sheehy said.
Other fantastic efforts came from Cameron Sheehy, leading batting average for Under 13(3), Dexter Phelps, leading wicket taker for Under 13(1), both boys had played up an age group, Club Person of the Year, Clint Gaughan, and Mini Player of the Year, George Psomas, among the many high achievers.
“The club had a good season on the field with four of our teams making semi finals and the club won the 8th grade premiership.”
The 2023/24 season will start in late September 2023. Registrations will be open late July or early August.
