Sporties offers vaccinations

Bankstown Sports Club’s Ballroom has been converted into a vaccination clinic providing up to 1000 vaccinations a day.
The vaccination clinic is operating seven days a week, 8am-5pm. Community members can walk in without a booking and work is under way to have the centre listed under the Vaccine Eligibility Checker.
South Western Sydney Local Health District has worked with a private provider to establish the vaccination clinic.
“The local community has always been the backbone of Bankstown Sports Club and we have a strong sense of responsibility to do everything we can to ensure their safety and wellbeing,” said Mark Condi, CEO of Bankstown Sports Club.
“While we are unable to open our doors due to the current health orders and restrictions in place, we have offered our facilities to South Western Sydney Local Health District in the hope it will play a small role in supporting the critical work they are doing and help boost the vaccination rates to keep our community safe and protected.
“We are determined to work in-line with South Western Sydney Local Health District to provide the resources and facilities necessary that are safe and accessible for people to get vaccinated. We hope this move will help push the numbers in the right direction so we can all return life back to normal as soon as possible.”
