Spin tunes like a DJ pro

DO you love loud music and bright lights?

Why not try your hand at a DJ workshop and bring out your inner party rock star?
Whether you want to have a go at something fun in the upcoming school holidays, build a side hustle, gain some insight into the DJ life or are looking for a special gift for someone who’s always up for trying new things – an exciting experience awaits at the Granville Centre on Wednesday, September 28, 9.30am-12.30pm.
Free and on offer for young people aged 12 to 18 years, the workshop is the brainchild of DJ Dumplings aka Damus who says it’s a great opportunity to gain knowledge and insight as well as practise on the latest DJ equipment.
“I am a professional DJ and will be sharing my secrets about how to thrive as a DJ and will adapt the course depending on the attendees’ music taste genres,” he said.
“There will be lots of information, advice and tips to get you started.
“At the end of the course, attendees will receive a merchandise gift bag and a DJ Workshop Certificate.”
DJ Dumplings says he loves how music unites people around the world.
“As a full-time DJ, I specialise in crowd-reading, meticulous gig preparation and smooth song transitions and I am happy to pass on these skills and more,” he said.
Hosted by Cumberland City Council, workshop bookings are essential at eventbrite.com.au.
