Spectacular line-up of entertainment and events

MAKE the most of the next seven days to enjoy non-stop entertainment, animal experiences and competitions, carnival rides and games, showbags, activities and much more at the 2024 Sydney Royal Easter Show which concludes next Tuesday.

With the plethora of options to choose from, planning is key to ensure you make the most of Australia’s most iconic event.
Families can pat a pig, nurse a chick, visit the farmyard nursery, watch an alpaca get shorn, take part in a free workshop, visit Kids’ Street which is bursting with activities, games and entertainment and grab a showbag or two.
For seniors, the Best in Show judging is not to be missed and includes the cattle show, vintage tractors, poultry and pigeon show, sheep, goat and pig events plus a range of arts and crafts, baked goods, flowers and horticulture exhibitions.
The spinners and weavers in the sheep pavilion are something to behold and you might get a cackle out of the scarecrow competition and working duck parade.
There are heritage pavilion tours, a CWA tearoom to recharge in, a free sausage sizzle and some fantastic evening entertainment plus more.
Other highlights include international floral art, talks on bush tucker, productive balcony gardens, cooking with honey and bonsai growing, pick up a beautiful garment or some stylish decor or enjoy the woodchopping, livestock auctions, rodeo and more.
There’s a brand new dessert precinct in The Stables and at Archie’s Secret Bar, you can indulge in cocktails, award-winning cheese and charcuterie plates.
General Manager of Agriculture and the Show, Murray Wilton, said the Show was not just an event but a celebration of Australian culture, heritage and the vibrant agricultural community.
“There are new rides, new feature food including two-foot long hotdogs, Mi Goreng fries and parmi pies, new activations including baby bison Banjo who will be welcoming Showgoers, the Agricultural Machinery of Yesteryear display and more including the Fancy Dress Horse and Calf competitions.
“With 101 free things to do, whether it’s the animals, the spectacular evening entertainment, or the exciting rides and tasty treats, the Show has something for everyone to enjoy.”
