A not-for-profit organisation, APWA is on a mission to support women by encouraging, enabling and facilitating their active involvement in business, employment, learning and community life.
“We are proud to be working collaboratively to help women from the CALD and Pakistani communities, to recognise their full potential in all walks of life,” APWA’s Dure Shahwar said.
Expecting at least 100 participants at the Mother’s Day event, Dure said they would be enjoying a delicious multicultural lunch, games, gifts and activities.
“There will be pampering opportunities like massages, manicures and pedicures and talks on physical and mental well-being,” she said.
“It’s a fantastic opportunity to get mum out of the house and book her into a special afternoon, which daughters should also come along to and help us celebrate all mothers.”
Tickets: $35 via Dure, 0450 363 330, Shafaq, 0415 724 571, or Farah, 0411 711 307.
