About 8pm yesterday (Thursday, March 16), emergency services responded to reports of a house fire at Alma Road, Padstow.
Fire and Rescue NSW officers extinguished the fire a short time later; however, significant damage was caused to the house.
No one was located in the premises and there were no reports of any injuries.
Police and Fire and Rescue NSW officers inspected the damaged house and located a sophisticated hydroponic cannabis setup.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation has been commenced.
