Some Knights fall

IT was a day of mixed fortunes for the Guildford Leagues Knights Netball Club as seven teams competed in the Parramatta Auburn Netball Association (PANA) semi-finals at Wyatt Park on Saturday.

But three teams keep finals hope alive

The Knights’ Division 2 team lost to the Parramatta Phoenix 31 to 45 but will face off against Regents Park in this Saturday’s preliminary final.
Unfortunately the season is over for the Knights’ Inter 1 team which fell 43-17 to Regents Park 5. This week’s preliminary final will be a match between Regents Park 4 and 5 to see who will take on the Holroyd Hotshots in the final on Saturday, September 7.

Also out are the Knights Inter 2 team who lost a tight semi-final contest, 13-15, against Newington 2, who will take on Regents Park on Saturday to decide who will play Newington 1 in the finals the following week.
The 12’s semi-finals saw Guildford Knights 4 downed 19-21 to the Holroyd Hotshots. However Guildford Knights 5 still have a shot at the final despite losing 26 to 17 to Regents Park 7. The Knights 5 and the Hotshots will battle it out this Saturday for the right to play Regents Park 7 in the finals.
The Composite 10/11s semi finals was won 14-6 by the Guildford Knights 8 who beat Regents Park 9, putting them directly into the finals.

Unfortunately Guildford Knights 6 fell to Holroyd Hotshots 16-10, leaving it up the Hotshots and Regents Park to battle it out for the last finals spot.
The Division One semi-final was won by Regents Park, who beat Parramatta Phoenix 47 to 31, and will take on the winner of this Saturday’s game between the PANA 17s and the Phoenix in the final on Saturday, September 7.
