The coveted title celebrates the excellence of Bankstown Airport – operated by Aeria Management Group (AMG) – in supporting the general aviation industry and sustainable growth, including essential emergency services and emerging net zero electric and hydrogen-powered aircraft.
Accepting the award, AMG Chief Executive Daniel Jarosch said it recognised the transformation of the nation’s third busiest airport into a vibrant destination, contributing more than $1 billion to the NSW economy and supporting 10,000 jobs.
“Since our owner Aware Super acquired the long-term interest in Bankstown Airport in 2015, we’ve had the vision to create a thriving precinct connecting aviation, industry and community,” he said.
Soars to ‘Metro Airpot of Year’ win
FLYING higher than all the others, Bankstown Airport was named Metro Airport of the Year at the 2023 National Airport Industry Awards.
