Smashes fundraising goal to help find cure

WITH Picnic Point’s James Kozlowski leading the charge, a team of 20 runners took part in last weekend’s Sri Chimnoy Iron Cove Half Marathon and smashed their fundraising goal.

Wanting to raise $20,000 for the Cure4CF (Cystic Fibrosis) Foundation, they have now reached $33,141 with James thanking the community for its generous support.
The Endeavour Sports High School Principal was invited to be the NSW Ambassador for the foundation after he became a man on a fund-raising mission when his newborn niece Aveline was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis.
“They call CF an invisible disease because people with it often look a picture of health like my niece,” he said.
She’s already had close to 20 visits to her team of specialists at the Children’s Hospital as well as two bronchoscopies.
James said he hoped the funds raised would go a long way to support the foundation in their efforts to find a cure for Cystic FIbrosis.
