Playing for the undefeated Sydney Gold team in last week’s State Carnival, Bankstown Girls High’s Meleseini Makaui has been described as a standout player.
“Huge congratulations to Meleseini, we expect her to go far,” Relieving Principal Lisa Edwards said.
Bass High’s sporting stars and sisters Paige and Trinity Tauaneai have what it takes to put NSW on the map, according to PE teacher and coach John Wilson.
“The sisters are doing extremely well, they made the semi-final of the National Schoolgirl Cup and their older sister Alexis, who played in the Tarsha Gale side for the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs, is now playing in the NRLW side for the St George Illawarra Dragons,” he said.
“So Paige and Trinity have a great role model in her and great support; this will be NSW’ strongest side yet.”
