Siblings Ria, Christine and Ross Pirrelli admit that while they do occasionally have their moments, the advantages of working with family far outweigh any negatives.
“We love performing together; we feel that sibling groups such as the Bee Gees and others like them, produce a blend of harmonies that is very special,” Ria said.
“When we did our first USA tour in May to release our new album, ‘The Colour of Sound’, knowing that we were there together gave us a feeling of safety.”
Audience members on the night can expect songs like I Can Hear Music and Don’t Worry Baby by The Beach Boys, Breathless by the Corrs, Like Strangers by the Everly Brothers, You Win Again by the Bee Gees and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy by the Andrew Sisters. There will also be songs by The Jackson Five, The Carpenters and The Pointer Sisters.
The inspiration for this tribute show to famous family groups, came after the siblings completed a six-week tour in 2013 as the support act for Bee Gees’ music legend Barry Gibb whose show was all about family.
“Barry is definitely one of our idols; to be personally requested to be his support act for his Australian tour and then to meet him and his wonderful family, was very special experience,” Ria.
Show starts at 7.30pm. Tickets: $10, at canterbury.com.au
