‘Set high expectations’

STEEPED in tradition and success and recently celebrating its 100-year anniversary, Canterbury Boys High School boasts alumni such as Dr George Peponis, Arthur Morris MBE and former prime minister John Howard.

Principal Ross Dummett says there is a strong sense of community and belonging from both the staff and the students and it is from that strength that high expectations are set in the classroom.
“I make no apologies for having high expectations for every student in the classroom,” he said.
“Put simply, if you are not a serious learner, then Canterbury Boys High School is not the school for you.”
