Police were called to the station on Joseph Street, near Vaughan Street, just after 4am and were told three men, armed with a knife, threatened a staff member before stealing cigarettes and fleeing on foot.
The attendant was not injured during the incident.
The Dog Unit assisted officers with a search of the surrounding area but were unable to locate anyone.
Detectives would like to speak to three males who may be able to assist with their inquiries, all of whom were described as being of African appearance in their late teens or early 20s.
Drunk, hits two cars
A 50-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with high-range drink driving and had his licence suspended after allegedly crashing into parked cars at Lidcombe last Monday night.
The man was allegedly driving in Bachell Avenue at 10pm when he hit two parked cars before continuing on.
Police will allege that the vehicle was stopped on Parramatta Road, where the driver returned a positive breath test to officers from Auburn Police Area Command.
A further breath analysis at Auburn Police Station, allegedly returned a reading of 0.160.
Woman abused, bitten
A HUNT is underway to identify a woman (pictured) who allegedly bit another woman on the ear at a Merrylands bus stop on Thursday afternoon.
A 32-year-old woman with her young child in a pram, boarded a bus on Argyle Street at Parramatta just after 2.30pm, and police were told that while on the bus another woman continuously verbally abused her.
When both women left the bus on Sherwood Road at Merrylands, the unknown woman assaulted the 32-year-old and tore a chain from her neck before biting her ear and fleeing.
The injured woman was taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment to minor injuries.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command are investigating the incident and have appealed for public assistance to locate the woman allegedly involved.
She’s described as aged in her mid-30s, with a thin build and of Caucasian appearance and she was last seen wearing a green shirt.
