Selected to play in U18 NSW team

A PADSTOW Bowling Club junior has been selected at just 14-years-old, to take on the best of the nation in the Junior NSW Blues side in the October 2023 Australian U18 Championships at Sorrento in Western Australia.

Attending Westfield Sports High School for baseball, Noah Jedrzejczyk took up bowls after an open day at the club two years ago and is encouraging other young people to “give it a go”.
“One of the benefits of bowls is the flexibility,” he said.
“You can continue playing other weekly sports be it baseball, netball, footy or whatever and still get a game of bowls in,” he said.
The club is also celebrating after winning the Zone 12s grade 3 pennants.
“Zone 12 is considered the strongest zone in NSW,” club member Glenn Rorison said.
“Our grade 3s also reached the quarter finals in the State Championships.”
Welcoming all newcomers, Padstow Bowling Club offers training on Monday nights – juniors from 5-6pm and adults, 6–7pm; the green has the added advantage of lights, darkness is not an issue.
