Seize nearly $1m in cash in vehicle stop, raid at house

ALMOST $1 million was allegedly seized by Raptor Squad officers during a vehicle stop and a raid on a home in Revesby last week.

As part of proactive operations, police stopped a vehicle on Queen Street at Revesby last Tuesday morning, and after speaking with the 27-year-old driver from Revesby, police searched the car and allegedly located around $600,000 cash concealed within bags inside the vehicle.
Later that day police searched at a home on Pivetta Street at Revesby, allegedly seizing a further $350,000, electronic devices, and ammunition.
The man was charged with two counts of recklessly deal with proceeds of crime more than $5,000.

Charge two men over alleged
shooting, kidnapping another
TWO men have been charged by Campsie detectives following an investigation into the shooting of a man and alleged kidnapping of a second man in Roselands early last year.
Just after 3.30am on Sunday, March 14, 2021, residents reported hearing gunshots in the vicinity of Stoddart Street and Moorefields Roads.
When police arrived they stopped a Holden Captiva on Moorefields Road, after noticing bullet holes in the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The driver, a 32-year-old man, was treated at the scene by paramedics for gunshot wounds to his leg and buttocks, before being taken to hospital in a stable condition. He has since been released.
Following extensive inquiries, including a public appeal for assistance, investigators charged a 30-year-old man last Thursday with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm, conspire and agree to murder any person, and shoot at with intent to murder. He was refused bail until his next court appearance on October 19.
Three days later a 37-year-old man was charged with take/detain in company with intent to get advantage occasion actual bodily harm, conspire and agree to murder any person, and shoot at with intent to murder.
Police will allege in court that a 43-year-old man was allegedly held against his will and assaulted by the men the previous day. It will be further alleged he was used to lure the younger man to Stoddard Street.
The men are all known to each other.
