Seize guns, cocaine, $550,000 cash

POLICE have allegedly seized two firearms, almost 4kg of cocaine, nearly $550,000 cash, and charged five men including two from Guildford and Lidcombe, following an investigation into illicit drug supply across Sydney.

In May this year, Strike Force Rohini was established to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs across the Sydney Metropolitan area and surrounding suburbs.
investigators executed a search warrant at a unit at Parramatta Road, Homebush, last month and allegedly seized $396,050 cash, a revolver, a semi-automatic pistol and ammunition, 3.6kg of cocaine and 2kg of MDMA.
A short time later, a 31-year-old man was arrested in the garage of a unit complex at James Street, Lidcombe.
A subsequent search was conducted of a white Volkswagen Golf, where investigators allegedly seized more than $36,000 cash, four mobile phones and equipment consistent with the supply of prohibited drugs.
The man was charged with two counts of knowingly deal with proceeds of crime, two counts of supply prohibited drug (large commercial quantity), two counts of possess unregistered firearm (pistol), and possess ammunition without holding licence/permit/authority.
As part of ongoing investigations, detectives executed four search warrants and allegedly seized allegedly a further $117,260 cash, about 84g of magic mushrooms (psilocybin), and an amount of MDMA and cannabis.
The Guildford man, 18, was charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity) and two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity); a 20-year-old was charged with possess prohibited drug, two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), deal with property proceeds of crime and organises/conducts/assists drug premises; a 21-year-old was charged with supply prohibited drug (commercial quantity), supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), supply prohibited plant and organises/conducts/assists drug premises; and a 22-year-old was charged with deal with property proceeds of crime, supply prohibited plant, organises/conducts/assists drug premises and possess prohibited drug.

Carjacking assault, crash
A MAN has been charged and police investigations are continuing after a motorist was allegedly detained and assaulted for several hours before crashing his car in Auburn early Saturday morning.
Police will allege the 37-year-old man was detained by three males while stopped in his black Mercedes about 1.30am on the same day.
Police said he was driven to various locations, before he was driven to Auburn by one of the males – aged 25 – where the Mercedes was involved in a collision with a van at the intersection of Parramatta and Dartbrook roads.
After the crash, the younger man allegedly entered the van and drove away.
The older man was located and treated at the scene for facial injuries.
The van was recovered in Simpson Street and a 25-year-old Auburn man was arrested and charged with take/detain in company with intent to ransom occasion actual bodily harm and drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
