The party will be on Thursday, July 27, from 7pm, with Holmes, Wade and Redmayne meeting fans and talking about the match which will be shown live on the big screen in the Rainforest Lounge. There will also be some great prize giveaways, as well as free face painting from 6.30pm.
The party has been organised by FAN+ founder and Georges Hall local Rod Harys, who said it was great to be creating a money-can’t-buy moment.
“We invite the community to come and cheer on the Matildas,” he said.
Sydney Kings Legend and Fox Sports commentator Steve Carfino will host the event Q&A style, with insights from those who’ve played on the national stage.
Wade ‘Wadey’ had one of the toughest tasks in world football, marking Diego Maradona in the two-legged World Cup play off with Argentina.
Holmes will share her insights into the team’s game plan and talk about her experience as a Matilda.
In 2022, Redmayne helped secure Australia’s passage to the 2022 FIFA World Cup after a stunning play-off.
