Searching for car after hit and run

POLICE are investigating a hit and run after a crash involving a motorcycle in Auburn last Wednesday.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Chisholm Road and Chiswick Road, Auburn, about 3pm, where a motorist failed to stop after a collision with a motorcycle.
The 28-year-old motorcycle rider was treated by paramedics at the scene before taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police believe a green Toyota Camry station wagon driven by an elderly male failed to stop after the crash and proceeded to drive north bound along Chisholm Road. It is believed the car may have minor rear end damage.
Anyone who may have information, or any available dashcam/mobile phone footage of the crash, are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

Charged over role in double murder
A MAN has been charged over his alleged role in the murder of a father and son at Guildford last year.
Just before 9am on Wednesday, October 20, 2021, emergency services were called to Osgood Street near Woodville Road, Guildford, where Toufik, 64, and Salim, 18, had been shot. Salim died at the scene and his father died later in hospital.
A 20-year-old man was charged with two counts of murder and knowingly/recklessly direct criminal group assist crime, last Tuesday.
Police will allege in court that the man had intentional and direct involvement in the planning and coordination of the vehicles used prior to and immediately after the double homicide. A 25-year-old man has already been charged over his alleged role. Investigations under Strike Force Ormerod are continuing.
