Search after man stabbed in the ear

CAMPSIE Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a stabbing in Belmore on Monday night.

Shortly before 11pm, emergency services were called to a home on Paxton Avenue, Belmore, following reports a man had been stabbed.
On arrival officers located a man on the street suffering a serious laceration to his ear.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to Canterbury Hospital for surgery.
A crime scene was established as police received information that a man, only described as Asian in appearance, was seen running from the area.
A woman was also taken to hospital suffering shock.
As inquiries continue police believe this was a domestic related incident.

Fast food shop holdup
POLICE investigating an armed robbery at Padstow, have released CCTV images of a man wanted to assist with inquiries.
About 5.55am on Sunday, a man entered a fast food restaurant on Davies Road, and threatened staff, indicating he had a firearm.
He was given an amount of cash before he fled the scene on foot.
He was last seen running east on Arab Road.
Investigators have described the man in the images as possibly Caucasian appearance, 175cm tall, average build, and a black and white coloured chequered staff wrapped around his neck.
He is wearing a blue hooded jacket with white stripes along the shoulders, tight dark coloured pants and brown pointy dress shoes.

String of gun charges
A MAN from Bankstown faces numerous firearms charges after police stopped him driving a vehicle in Bankstown last Tuesday morning.
After the man, 30, was taken back to Bankstown Police station, a search warrant was carried out at his home in Restwell Street, Bankstown, as part of a Firearm Prohibition Order (FPO).
He was charged with Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, Not keep firearm safely-pistol, Possess unauthorised prohibited firearm x2, Possess unregistered firearm, Acquire etc pistol-subject to firearms prohibition order x2, Acquire etc ammunition subject to prohibition order, Possess ammunition without holding licence, Possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
He was refused bail to reappear on July 24.

Broke AVO, assaulted
A 48-YEAR-OLD man from Milperra has been charged him with common assault, contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO and stalk/intimidate fear physical etc harm.
Police allege the man went to an address in Whittle Avenue on the evening of Saturday, June 22, in contradiction to his AVO orders, and became aggressive towards the occupier of the premise and also assaulted him.

Broke in but thwarted
A WOMAN has been arrested but a man remains at large after an alleged aggravated break and enter in East Hills last Friday night.
Police alleged that at 9.20pm a man and woman attempted to gain access to a home in Henry Lawson Drive.
When police arrived after being contacted by the occupant, they arrested a 41-year-old female from Canley Heights but the man had escaped.
She was charged with aggravated break and enter in company intending to steal.

Drug Supply
POLICE arrested a further eight people on Tuesday morning as part of an ongoing investigation into the manufacture and distribution of methamphetamine and heroin in Sydney’s south west.
In December 2018, officers from Wetherill Park Region Enforcement Squad (RES) established Strike Force Dewed to investigate the supply of prohibited drugs within the South West Metropolitan Region.
Following extensive inquiries, strike force investigators executed five search warrants at homes in Bass Hill, Fairfield East, Villawood, Guilford West and Canley Heights early yesterday.
Upon entry at the home in Bass Hill, two of the occupants – a 36-year-old man and a 43-year-old woman – allegedly threatened police with knives.
Two men – aged 52 and 36, a 15-year-old girl, a 36-year-old woman, and two 35-year-old women were also arrested at the property.
So far during the searches, officers have allegedly seized two knives, cash and prohibited drugs.
The operation follows the arrest of three people – two men and one woman – on Thursday 31 January 2019. They were charged with serious drug-related offences and remain before the courts.
