Only coming second to a child aged 10 and beating 69 other children, Abdullah has come first on two occasions previously in various age groups in the championships and will next take on the State’s best in July.
The Condell Park Public School student was jumping for joy and very excited to achieve a silver win, according to Dad Ziad.
“He has great endurance and he is very fast; whenever he plays soccer, he is the quickest person on the field,” Ziad said.
“He is just so athletic and has a big future in sports, you can just see it.”
Condell Park Public School Principal Sian Websdale said Abdullah’s effort was amazing.
“He has so much natural talent and sporting ability,” she said.
“We are so happy for him and his family and will be cheering him on at the State Championships.”

HE loves running on the beach, cycling, playing soccer for Roselands Raptors and now eight-year-old Abdullah Akra has come second in the Sydney South West SSA Regional Cross Country Championships.
