He had already won the Southern Fighting Championship Kickboxing title in Wollongong.
A force to be reckoned with, Ibrahim trains at Campsie’s Australian Kickboxing Academy under founder and coach Jim Perdios.
“He’s becoming so fast and strong; this was his best performance yet,” Perdios said.
Training under Perdios since he was 14, Ibrahim now joins another Australian Kickboxing Academy fighter, Tyson Martin of Roselands, who at 17, was the youngest to win the NSW Kickboxing Championship earlier this year.
Though fighting in different weight categories, they are both keen on winning an Australian title with hopes of turning professional after that.
“They have come a really long way,” Perdios said.
“They’re the best training partners too since they are both so dedicated and work so well together; they are like my children, I’m incredibly proud of them.
“This time next year, I hope to be celebrating their Australian title wins.”
Scores second NSW Kickboxing title
CLEMTON Park’s Ibrahim Faour is a step closer to qualifying for the Australian Kickboxing Titles in 2023 after scoring his second NSW K1 Kickboxing title with a TKO in the second round against an undefeated fighter in North Sydney.
